The Mohamed Cartoon

Almost everyone has heard of the Mohamed Cartoon, and the trouble it ended up causing, but, why did it cause so much trouble? Why did the MOHAMED cartoon cause trouble, when no trouble at all has come from Jesus, God, the Dali Lama, many of the various Hindu gods being in cartoons? You may say its the context of the cartoon, but shows like South Park and Family Guy, do not show religion in much of a positive context at all, and nobody really complains about being offended by Jesus in those shows. The Simpsons has many religions within it, nobody complains about that.

So, why all of a sudden is it wrong, when its Mohamed?

Hey I think people need to hear your thoughts on HD-DVD and Blu-Ray

The answer is easy: Everyone wants to be offended.
The first time someone’s violence is excused, it lays the groundwork for more. Get violent, get the cartoons pulled. Simple. Why not do it again? It isn’t all about Islam, it is about western culture and emotional excess. In France, Muslims riot all the time, burning cars, stores, etc..
The French say “maybe we should increase welfare!” They spoil punks and reward bad behavior. Kind of like the way Americans raise kids!
