Train Travel

I generally have to travel because of my job, i have to walk to the train station, then take a train into wigan, then catch another train into warrington. the journey from wigan to warrington is fine since its with Virgin trains, but the journey between my house and wigan is not so good since Northern Rail seem to think someone of 6ft4 only needs about 4 inches of leg room between the seat he is sat on and the seat in front of him. so i have to mostly sit on a diagonal so that i can actually fit in the seats which now makes me look like an ass hole when the train is full and I’m taking up two seats. Why do train companies like Northern Rain give me no leg room what so ever, so that i have to take up two seats, but companies like Virgin Trains give me enough leg room to get in to my seat and have my bag on the floor in front of me also, with more room to spare. it seems stupid to me that these companies do this to me.

1. Northern Rail decide not to upgrade fleet to give customers more leg room
2. Customer who relies on trains is slightly annoyed
3. Customer posts on blog to express annoyance
4. Train company keeps making money from said customer
If it works anything like the above, then it makes perfect /business/ sense
